Raising money for: Toby Henderson Trust

Nell McGrath (on behalf of Joe Denny) said: “My son Joe Denny, aged seven, is a student at Warkworth Primary School and is trying to raise money for The Toby Henderson Trust, a charity which helps children affected by autism and their families in the North East.

“They run a programme of early intervention not available through the NHS, and recent funding cuts could affect their ability to continue to provide this service.

“He’s going to be running at least a mile a day for the whole of June (a total of more than 30 miles!) and documenting his runs on Instagram and Facebook along with photos of lovely things he sees and his daily distances and times.

“To run alongside this sponsored event we are organising a raffle of ‘local things for local people’ in the hope of raising funds for the Toby Henderson Trust and raising the profile of businesses in Northumberland, encouraging people to go out and enjoy local places and support independent businesses.
